This year, the West Liberty Big Orange running family lost two legends in Corey Frost and Butch Sower. Teammates, All-Ohioans and West Liberty-Salem Athletic Hall of Fame inductees, Corey and Butch were still active and enthusiastic supporters of the Big Orange cross country program. Corey was called upon each year to deliver a post season pep talk to our Big Orange student athletes and Butch, who recently moved back to the area, ran the BOSS Summer Run just weeks before his death. They will both be remembered as fierce and enthusiastic competitors as well as supportive, unselfish teammates. Their contributions to our community have left a lasting legacy to those of us who love running and their passings have left holes in our hearts.
